Squid Shack Studios is an emerging Kent‑based production company led by co‑founders Daniel Eycott and Syd Heather.
We’re more than a production company; we’re storytellers with a mission to connect communities through the power of film. We specialise in community‑driven storytelling, producing compelling documentaries, video podcasts, and narrative content.
Our work includes the award‑winning documentary Micropubs – The New Local, now streaming worldwide on Amazon, Tubi and GuideDoc, and will celebrate it’s fifth anniversary in 2025. Most recently, we secured one of four short film commissions for Screen South and Screen Ashford. Lovebirds will debut at The Ashford Cinema in April 2025, and our first docudrama pilot series The Recovery Rooms exploring addiction and recovery is currently being pitched to commissioners.
